On July 23 in the city of Samara a press-conference gathered by "Rainbow
Keepers" and "Duplo" took place. It was devoted to the results of
the two week actions of ecologists, and particularly to the events of July
22.
"Rainbow Keepers" decided to file a lawsuit against the policeman V.M.
Ovcharenko, who beated Anatoliy Dorovskikh. The camp was temporary closed
and is supposed to be reopened on July 29. Also, a huge press-conference
with participation of scientists-ecologists, biologists, and other
experts is planned on August 16. It's going to be about the results of
the work done by local authorities to fulfill the order of the Court of
15.07.99 to take measures to solve the problem of poacher's dams on the
territory of the national park.
